I’m Nadia. I founded Notorious Brands a couple of years ago once I realised that I was basically already running a marketing agency singlehandedly, without calling it one.

The word “agency” makes people want to run for the hills - for a while, myself included. Marketing agencies are everywhere, and they’re full of grand promises, vanity metrics, and frustrating weekly meetings. I’m building the marketing agency I wish I’d had when I was working as an in-house marketer.

My career in marketing started when I was a teenager - I was copy editing my classmates’ essays back in Year 10 (looking back, I should have charged them for it). At university, I worked in journalism and during COVID, built my first social media account, scaling it to 3000 followers in six months.

Since then, I’ve worked in marketing over several industries - luxury products, healthcare, ecommerce, and hospitality, to name a few. Some see this as lacking deep expertise in one sector; I’d argue the opposite.
